The ACR38U-I1 has been discontinued and replaced with the ACR39U-U1. The ACR38U-I1 is a plug-and-play FIPS 201-compliant USB contact smart card reader. The USB interface facilitates communication between a computer and a smart card very easily, allowing for a seamless implementation of smart-card based applications in a PC environment. This reader also works with CAC cards.
